Is this trade even possible

Created by: Wingsfan09
Team: 2020-21 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 5, 2019
Published: Dec. 5, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Obviously made during the summertime, I have no idea if Sergachev is even possible to get from TB, I know he is having a pretty good year so far and they already don't have a lot of cap space for next year, plus they are already loaded on D. I don't know what he would be worth signing wise, or what he is worth in a trade. I'm just making this cause Sergachev would be the perfect young top pairing LD that we need to bring this team into the future. You have to admit a pairing of Sergachev and Seider would be pretty epic. Let me know if you guys think Sergachev is even remotely available, and how this trade looks, if I need to add more or am overpaying or whatever. I'm usually pretty realistic when I make my teams, but I thought why not with this one

Good cause I like Rasmussen a lot but I didn't want to undervalue him

Way too much from Detroit's perspective, AA+Detroit's 2021 2nd round pick should be more then enough for Sergachev.

Depending on how much you think he's worth on his NEXT contract. He's a prime offersheet candidate. With only ~$10M in cap space next year and only 8 forwards and 3 Dmen signed...while needing extensions for Cirelli, Cernak, Serg, Why not offersheet him for 3 years $4.1M AVV, BUT each year increasing by 30% in salary compared to the previous? Meaning after 3 years he'll command roughly a minimum of $6M per year. TBL can't match a $4.1M offersheet AND it's only a 2nd round pick.

I was thinking an offersheet as well, I'll have to explore that a little bit and see. It's definitely something I can see Yzerman doing though if he feels it's right. Especially if we do good in the lottery.

I like it from a Tampa perspective honestly, Athanasiou would bring some good intangibles imo. All depends on how much he signs for. If it's more than Sergachev then I would say no.
