Out of curiosity, why do you think Nedeljkovic is ready & suitable for the backup role? I looked him up and his AHL numbers don't impress me. NHL numbers show that he's been very well sheltered during his 90 minutes up there.

Nice overreaction, It would still be Nylander +, that hasn't changed. It's more of Carolina has no interest in trading him but leaf fans are convinced hes available so Canes fans tell you it's it will cost more then you are willing to give. Pesce is an incredibly strong defensive defensman locked up long term and in his prime. He is the equivalent of Vlassic in his prime. A player doesn't always need to score to have value, which is something people seem to not understand here. There are 2 sides of the ice rink and it is equally as important to stop the opponent from scoring as it is for your team to score.
