1. Salary cap will be higher
2. Instead of 5x12.5, you can do something like 6x9 or 7x8 so that you have him longer and you give same picks but cheaper. i don't know just an idea
3. if you were to get Barzal, he would play RW with Kopitar and Lafreniere

Dude just look at what you're saying? First off he'd have to give up 4 1st round picks 2020-2023 which means Alexis Lafreniere would be going to the Islanders not Kings. This is a joke you can't draft Alexis Lafreniere if you don't have the 2020 1st round pick to pick him with.

Well yeah, The 2020 1st round pick wouldn't be included, Due to the fact that OS go out starting on July 1st free agency and the draft is a week before. So yeah he can still OS Barzal and draft Lafreniere the picks actually would be 2021, 2022, 2023, an 2024 instead.
