I think the point was to see what the lines are like with Johnsson gone and having a full bench. Also once he returns from injury, trading him could benefit the team through a combination of cap relief, his in-house replacement being more than capable of filling his shoes and the return for him in a trade would add an asset to the team.

It's not how I would put the lines together, but I think that was the point.

Pontus Aberg won't be a healthy scratch he was hot with the Marlies so i don't see a reason why he'd be a healthy scratch

I like the idea of trying out Pierre Engvall on the top line. The only issue is that he has played, well, I might add, in very limited, and more defensive minutes. I am not sure what sort of game he brings to the table playing a more offensive role. Certainly, in the minors this season, he was lighting it up, but that's not the NHL.
