What i would move for hall

Created by: ArakinSkywalker
Team: 2019-20 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 6, 2019
Published: Dec. 6, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The trade would revolve around Jost/Kamenev & Bowers/Kaut. I know they are after a young D man and Timmins would fit that need, but i think we would need some depth added then so we would want Vatanen back. There might have to be conditions about added picks if a resign of each player occurs. Probily another 3rd for Vatanen and maybe upgrade the current 3rd to a first if Hall resigns. Something along those lines
Trades
COL
  1. Hall, Taylor ($2,000,000 retained)
  2. Vatanen, Sami ($2,000,000 retained)
NJD
  1. Jost, Tyson
  2. Kaut, Martin
  3. Timmins, Conor
  4. 2020 3rd round pick (TOR)
  5. 2021 1st round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
It could be either Jost/ Kamenev & Bowers/Kaut. If we are to be moving timmins i'd like to be bringing back Vatanen as a little more depth on the RHD

Breaking this trade down as:

timmins, jost, 1st for Hall retained

Kaut, 3rd for Vatanen retained

I think that's super fair and maybe even a bit too much, but with Byram being the original asking price from the Devils maybe Hall has much more value than stone did due to factors like it being so early in the year so more teams are believed to be in the playoff race and you get many more games to acclimate Hall. Also the report that Stone basically said Vegas or nothing makes me think his value wasnt as high as it could have been.

I think the hart trophy in the last 2 years increases his value more than stone as well. Hall has never really been on a winning team, always kind of the best player on a bad team. It would be exciting to see what he could do on a team with a bit more depth. Burky and Donny have excelled here, so who knows what hall could do.

I think it's a bit of an overpay but the bigger question is if Hall is willing to pass on free agency.

I think a lot of people are down on him because his goal numbers and point total are both low this year (although first on the team in points). The Devils were playing a terrible style under Hynes and it led to them playing low event hockey. If Hall were go to a team like Colorado and get to play with mackinnon potentially, he could really pop off. Just getting him into a team with a style that fits his talents would be great too.

Yeah for sure, as strictly rentals it is a steep price. I'd hope if sakic were going to make the move he might be able to speak to hall before hand and see what he would be willing to take on his next deal here trying to win. I don't think it's worth it for only a few months of hall.
