The part you are forgetting - Reimer is the better goalie currently. Why mess around with picks to downgrade?

Also, there is statistical evidence that shows the success rates of draft picks is flat between mid 1st - 7th rounders. I really don’t think going from 4th&7th to 2nd&3rd is as much of an advantage as some believe.
