We need Hall the forward help we can get

Created by: Caniac2000
Team: 2019-20 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 6, 2019
Published: Dec. 6, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Fleury is NHL ready, he's been in the NHL for a few years, he'd be further up the lineup on any D core that isn't as deep as ours. McGinn is basically a 4th liner, used to even the cap, the 1st and conditional 2nd are there to even the difference in value. Opinions?

Neutral fan here but I like it for both sides.

Rumour is that the Devils want a young NHL ready LHD and Fleury hasn't really broken in yet but I assume you'd do Jake Bean if they preferred, either way they won't be in front of Slavin or Gardiner anytime soon.

1st is a 1st.

Conditional 2nd becoming a 1st on extension is pretty standard.

Bottom 6 roster player that can get you around 30 points per year to help insulate a young team.

If I were the Devils I'd be fine with this deal, but I'd be seeing if I could get a prospect I liked more. Rumours of Byram floating around out there but if that didn't materialize I'd take this deal at the deadline.

I think the deal would have to be Jake Bean, Julien Gauthier (or similar high risk prospect) and a 1st for Hall, who would come without an extension worked out. Perhaps the Canes throw in something conditional in there IF Hall resigned. As I said prior to all these "Hall is available" reports, Colorado really is in the best position to land Hall. They could offer Graves, Bowers and a 1st rounder, or work out something that included high risk, high reward, but still injured Connor Timmins. I am not sure there are many times vying for a playoff spot can compete with that offer. Islander might, but would these teams do an in-division trade? Hard to say? I could see Arizona trying to get creative as well, and could see them going all in a season where basically everything has gone right for them. I still think Taylor Hall will be an Avalanche before the holiday trade freeze.
