Yes. That is too much to pay to get rid of a one year deal with a player who might get going. It's hard to sell a wing that can't score some goals in PIttsburgh, without retaining, but how much do you really need the extra cap space?

I'm just thinking the Pens def. don't wanna pay their 1st rounder and then some for Pageau. Brown seems like an intriguing option. JR just said that he's not even sure Galchenyuk will crack the lineup if and when the team gets healthy.

Right now they traded Kessel for a guy JR says might not be in the lineup when the team gets healthy, lol.

Please delete this. This is all shorts of terrible. Regardless of how mediocre Galchenyuk has been. You don’t trade both players we traded Kessel for + a 3rd for Connor Brown. This is so dumb. Galchenyuk isn’t cap killing us. Especially on a one year deal. So bad. So so bad.

Yes, Kessel Birks and a third, and the sad part is, I'd accept this trade proposed here, I am (and have been since before the trade) really really low on POJ and I've watched Galch suck for two years (well 1+1/4 now lol)

Too bad for the Pens that Kessel rejected the Zucker trade. He's been really good lately.
