Hilarious, last offseason oiler fans would get all bent of shape over Leaf acgm sending them Brown for 3rd rounder now all of sudden your going to give a 2nd a prospect and a roster player for his RFA rights?

Galchenyuk doesn't deserve that amount of money. He'll be lucky to get a 4,5 million AAV

Aside from overpaying in the OTT trade, why on earth would Brown take a contract like that when he's in the same pace points-wise as RNH is...

Imagine thinking Brown, a guys who been a 3rd/4th line winger for the last several years, who had a hot 20 games, is all of a sudden a 1st line guy.

Its shocking to me what people have been valuing Brown at over the last couple weeks on this site. Its not like hes a really young player breaking into the league at this pace. Hes a career 3rd liner and people value him at a steady top 6 guy after a 25 game sample size.

I believe brown is a fantastic top 9 who can fill a top 6 when needed, he was far down on the Leafs depth chart has worked out really well in a top 6 in Ottawa but would ultimately be a bandaid in edm in a top 6 role, he was worth a 3rd a year ago and is worth a 3rd today.
