    That Helm trade should be in 2019-20 so that you have no retained salary

    If Yzerman deals AA He'll want a very good D prospect back in return. Nothing less.

    I agree but their best defensive prospects are Makar (technically still a prospect) and Byram and there is absolutely ZERO chance of getting either of them. After that there isn't a d prospect that is very impressive. So Kaut, Timmons and 2020 1st round pick (COL) but I don't see Colorado making that trade.

    There is no way Colorado would give up Kaut (#16 pick in 2018), Timmons (#32 pick in 2017) and their 2020 1st round pick for AA. If the Wings got Kaut and their 2020 1st rounder, something a little more possible, I would do that deal in a heartbeat.

    I agree but I think Kaut and a 2nd isn't enough.
