this only tells half a story.
The cap issues they would have next year would be unreal.
Moving Phil was the right move. They got out on top. Phil's 5v5 play has fallen off a cliff.
That's the first sign of a declining player. Even if they can hide their stats with PP points. When you aren't effecting 5v5 play the wheels are falling off. That was the case on Phil and that is why he was sent packing. It was the right move, regardless of what the return was.

Well said, they needed to move Kessel but the return could have been better for sure
