Need a backup and some defence

Description
Rangers trade the value looks good, rangers get a b level center prospect with two way capability, mid round pick in this draft and Hutch was kinda a throw in because leafs would have max of 6 goalies if we kept him so he goes(I know he has 0 value maybe even negative value at this point)

Winnipeg trade I’m not to sure on cause Ceci isn’t bad but he’s not good in my opinion he is an upgrade on the Winnipeg blue line and sending a 4th and retaining salary might help them accept the trade, not sure what poolman’s value is but I’m sure it’s not sky high, maybe leafs send a third instead to make it fair trade? Or does Winnipeg take out there pick to make it fair?

Carolina trade is to get the defence that we need, doubt Carolina would be willing to do this but given there a cheap team maybe they would just to get the first rounder and a high B low A prospect in Bracco, Holl has not a lot of value but he is thrown in to give them a third pairing option on the right side

I like Brooks but I think you are overvaluing. He's going to be a goose kind of guy that shows up at the NHL level and then still takes 2-3 years before he has a breakout...if that breakout even happens.

He’s a low b center prospect, none the less the trade still has good value to acquire Georgiev

I don't think Hutchinson and Brooks really carry much value, maybe that of a 3rd combined. so you have a 3rd +4th for Georgiev, which is a couple rounds shy of the general consensus on what he's going to go for.

Instead of a fourth make it a third and that should be a better trade then

More for Edmundson than Muzzin? Who is this guy and why are we giving away 1sts for him?

WPG says no, Poolman is better than Ceci. He has 5 more points than Ceci and his contract is 5x better lol.

Edmundson is a solid defender with a good contract and can be offensive if used properly and Jeremy bracco is probably worth grundstrom but holl is worth nothing also a first is to balance them retaining salary and because he’s worth it

Rangers laugh and hang up.

Holl is comparable to Edmundson, decent depth, and yet one is worth a giant package and the other is worth nothing? The reality is salary is the difference between the two and Holl is a fraction of the cost making him more valuable to the team.

Edmundson is a 2nd pair type. A role he has played on a Cup winner and8s playing on a team loaded defensively.

Holl is a 6/7 type. A role he is playing on a team desperate for D.

No. They are not comparable.

One has a history in the league, one doesn't. Both are currently playing top four, production is nearly identical minus PIMS, size is close, one makes four and a half times more than the other... So yeah, one is a buy low and the other recently got dealt for a buy low because his ceiling is known.

As far as D are concerned, they're very similar. AHL champion versus NHL champion. Know versus unknown.

Rutherford versus Dubas.

Lol ?. Homerism at it’s finest. ?

Would be like me calling Conor Clifton and Brett Pesce comparable, only i’m not foolish enough to think it or consider it.

31 teams, 6 defensemen per, we're talking about players that don't crack the top 100. The difference between them isn't worth the conversation.

Dollars remain the deciding factor.

Except Edmundson does, or right around it anyway, while Holl falls more in the 150-175. That’s the difference.

But ya $ is the difference as well. There is a reason why Edmundson, who is younger, has 300 games under his belt and makes 3m while Holl has 40 games and makes minimum. Because of the gap in talent. ??‍♂️
