We don't need Domi, we need Jeff Petry, and Lindholm > Petry, so Lindholm for Petry, Caufield and the second.

A team with plenty of forwards and a huge gaping hole at RD.

Yeah, it should be a first, but you guys need help getting into the Stanley Cup playoffs. We know we won't be there.

You guys aren't making the playoffs this year with Petry and Caufield (even if he gets into any games after the Frozen Four). With Lindholm, you'd have a chance. When you have more experience, you'll understand that that's not bias.

You’re out of the point. Lindholm is not a rental. The goal of the transaction was to help both teams at long terms and not sacrifice our future to make the playoff this year

No, you're missing the point, which is that Montreal and Anaheim are bad trade partners because they are virtually mirror-image teams: squads with two first-class defenders on one side and spear carriers on the other. Anaheim has Hampus Lindholm and Cam Fowler on the left side; Montreal has Shea Weber and Jeff Petry on the right. Put those four together on the same team and you have a Stanley-Cup-capable defense; divide them in half (no matter how) and you have two non-playoff teams. Anaheim can do without the offense provided by Domi, but it can't do without the defense provided by Lindholm and needs an upgrade on the right. In short, neither team is going to trade one of its two All-Star-contender defensemen, even if it gets another one back.
