those 2 second rounds picks are going to be in the 32-38 range which are as close as you can get to the first round. Plus you get a young 2 way center in White that is still finding his game as the nhl level, probably ends up a middle six forward, and B level prospect who is having a good year so far in the AHL.

Is it and underpay? Sure, but Columbus' prospect pool is very shallow and you might be able to get away with it. Ottawa has the flexibility to upgrade any of these picks / players as needed (White ->L. Brown), (Balcers -> Formenton) (2020 2nd -> 2020 1st SJS).

You’d need to add to the Columbus trade.... actually you’d need to add a lot to the Columbus trade. You’re offering us nothing we already have for top 10 RHD, some would say he’s a top 5 RHD.... make one of those seconds a 1st, then pray we don’t ask for another 1st.
