The Pageau trade seems reasonable, if predicated on the idea that the Sens know that they won't be able to re-sign him, but I just can't see Steve Yzerman trading RFA Andreas Athanasiou for one year of Nick Bjugstad (who's currentlyon the IR), a prospect and a third.

Just depends if they see him as a future piece of the team. Bjugstad can add vet leadership to the team considering the guys they are going to lose. Terrible team or not a -31 in 28 games isn't great especially with only 15 pts. Who knows though, maybe add Simon or another prospect. Just like the idea of him on the pens don't really know what the ask would be.

Actually maybe make Desmith apart of it?

I like the deals. Wish there was a way to get Lafferty in the lineup when everyone is healthy. I don’t see that as possible though unless Hornqvist is dealt, which I don’t see happening anytime in the near future. Good call benching Simon as well.

Yea that’s true about the injuries. Horny is clutch on the PP, but I just don’t like the idea of paying him 5.3 mil to get hurt 2-3 times a season and his production is likely to drop off. Although he did have a solid start to the season. I see what you’re saying though.

No I agree forsure but can't get rid of him without someone to replace him. My want is Josh Anderson but CBJ won't let him come to PIT
