If you want to move Kovalchuk & Kopitar, you're gonna have to eat some salary for both teams to consider.

Does no one ever read the description part, I said I KNOW THAT IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE OR WOULD EVER HAPPEN AT ALL BUT FOR THIS SCENARIO LETS SAY IT DID WOULD U LIKE THIS TEAM THAT THE KINGS WOULD PUT OUT?

I just look at it realistically. Also...both teams in those proposed moves don't have the cap space to do it, even with retained salary.

Yes they do, Montreal can fit $2 million into there cap next year like nothing and Columbus could take on quicks cap with that retained salary this year without sending salary back

My original remark was referring to the Carolina and Colorado trade proposals. They can't do it even with retained salary.

Carolina could do it the difference between Kovalchuck and Niederriters salary is $1 million so that’s do able, Colorado could still do it but would have to expect Calvert to be gone and burkovsky to take no more than 4.25 million against the cap and they will have still about 5 million in space
