I don’t think Florida would move Ekblad , especially being in the same division, without an overpay. Any trade for Ekblad starts with sandin and a 1st

Florida struggles defensively, I can’t see them giving him up unless you overpay. they are a win now team. I would think they’d want dermott, sandin and a 1st.

I don’t even think that interests them. Seems to me that they are competing for a division spot. Maybe Toronto is better suited to send nhler for futures....

I don't think it's be smart to move sandin. guess it might not work out for either side then

Leafs would definitely have to overpay for Ekblad. He is having his best overall season of his career. Learning how to be a shutdown defenseman while continuing to use his offensive abilities to make plays.

Based on the Bob signing Florida can’t trade away their #1 dman. If he was a lot older maybe, but his career trajectory lines up with Barkov and Huberdeau so he’s basically untouchable
