Toronto comes away like kings on this one. Also how do they get their own 1st back? Also STL is getting robbed blind.

What utter fetid garbage. Truthfully, I shouldn't even say that... it would be a grave insult to actual fetid garbage.

So it's true that it's impossible to make three way trades on this site. I do realize STL did get cut a fair bit short. Hall is the best player here, but given that STL is retaining and giving up assets still, they should be getting more. Probably a B level prospect for Toronto (Bracco type)

It's usually a safe bet to start ragging on any Pietrangelo trade as unworkable, but, I mean, you gave the Blues Taylor Hall. If they're having any trouble re-signing their captain by the trade deadline, a workable option to add a recent MVP for the playoffs might start to seem tempting. It's not an upgrade, and they'd still have to negotiate a big contract, but if they really think things are unworkable with Pietrangelo, Hall would be a great consolation prize for the team and its fans. Good outside the box thinking.

I'm not sure I see Coleman being included, but I might be higher on Hall than some other fans.

Finally somebody who is reasonable and posts logical thought processes rather than being out for the likes (@mokumboi)
I appreciate your judgement Eli and thank you for the fair and reasonable critique.

Blues should be getting a bit more, Toronto is getting way too much, NJ might be getting a bit too much as well.

Out for the likes, he says... gimme a break. His take is not even slightly reasonable, as it's based fully on a false premise. The reality is your trade idea is multiple levels of horrid for the Blues, while the other two teams make out like bandits. It's beyond awful in glaringly obvious ways that I'm so tired of explaining to people who already know why.

You take this site too seriously. Calm down bud.
There's bad posts and troll posters and I can assure you I'm not one of them. Then there's the opposite end where certain people think they will be employed by the site.
I appreciate people who, even if the value is off, are willing to say it how it is. I have no tolerance for people who can't even explain WHY something is awful and bluntly make statements that are in premise only to gather likes. If my trade idea is awful, so be it - I've said it before and I'll say it again, your (and only your) input is meaningless to me.

Edit: Yes that is kind of jarring to say - however there's certain people that need to calm down on here. Input should be fair and logical, not harsh and crude.

Thanks so much! I think you and I have similar approaches to the conversation, looking to puzzle out the agreement between different teams' needs. No intention of stepping on toes, but just an enjoyment of figuring out what moves could make more than one team better.

I also have moments when I think my team is losing someone valuable for nothing (Burakovsky for anything less than Nylander, Djoos for anything less than a 3rd, Oshie or Holtby for just about anything) and I'm as crazy as anybody on here. And people let me know it. smile

What precisely is fair and logical about your trade proposal? You somehow manage to imagine that the Cup repeat-chasing, West-leading, defense-oriented defending champs would be served by blowing up the team that obviously works by trading their essential RD captain for a few months of a player who sells out his team for a diminishing offensive return that will be far harder to re-sign PLUS we should give up a very goal-capable defensive forward that skates and hits and battles and is locked in to a cheap 4 yr deal PLUS our 2020 1st & 3rd... and then you want us to retain half on top of it while we destroy our on-ice chemistry and clubhouse harmony. Just stop with your "I'm a reasonable moderate" act. The trade isn't just off, it's a bad joke. And the fact that you actually tried to paint ths as being from a Blues perspective is a sick joke. I was kind and/or explained all the reasons some lunacy wouldn't fly the first dozens of times, often to the same people over and over. Now I'm tired of having the AGMs clogged up with dozens of these TROLL trades, usually to rescue the Maple Leafs in some delusional fashion or another.

Oh, it improves more than one team alright. NJ and TOR wildly improve. The Blues, on the other hand, get robbed in broad daylight. And you're supposed to be the fair-minded one thinking Army would ever go anywhere near this abomination? Puh-lease.
