What a season so far for him. I really hope we convince Gourde to waive his NTC and trade him instead of Killorn next offseason.

After a RHD acquisition. Their right side is a bit lacking... Cernak has no experience and Shatty's too offensive. They need a shutdown D there.

I think a 3rd line center is the immediate need. With Cirelli climbing to 2nd line there is huge hole .. perfect trade example last year at TDL for Boston was Coyle and Johansson .. THAT trade almost got them the Cup and is what Tampa needs.. more than RD in my opinion but a RD would be nice.

Agree.

But I'm more worried what will JBB do with Gourde. Whats his plan...

Correct me if I’m wrong... but isn’t shattinkirk having a great season (obviously he’s offensive but still), and isn’t Cernak pretty much a bonafide top 4 D at this point?

The better Tampa is this year, sure looks like they aren't going to be able to move their NTCs and even their M NTCs next summer.
Rangers and Tampa...really interesting cap issues next summer.

I never understood the lack of support for Killorn. A two way power forward that plays defense really well, plays 80 games a year and always puts up 40 plus points. Very happy with his play, fingers crossed he does not go back to being streaky. Palat also is having a great year, hope he stays healthy.

If Cirelli is good enough for second line then you would move Verhaeghe down and shift him to play 3rd line C.
Or Johnson.

Also you guys really need RHD, and MTL really needs LHD. Any ideas there?

Verhage Johnson and Joseph as a 3rd line are HUGE issue .. not a chance to win it with them ... agree with post above that Shattwrlirk is OK .. issue has really been Cernek and Colburn .. who is now out .. have not been good this year .. combine that with our 3rd line and phantom defense by Stamkos in middle ice and we have big issue ... solve the 3rd line with a 2 way center first and fill in.

And bad enough we lost JT Miller because of a FOURTH LINER .. Miller 80 pts. This year on Vancouver .. if we lose 70 pt Killorn because of YANNI GOURDE contract ownership should be tarred and feathered .. as I have said since last year .. That contract could sink the organization

Hahahaaa, look at Stamkos today, when Schenn made that horrible play vs New York Islanders in his own D-zone. It was an unlucky bounce right? Stamkos was there in the middle but just forgot about going to middle to help out Schenn. Result = 1 easy goal allowed. It was just funny to see how much he doesn't care about the defense. Same thing Gourde did couple days ago. They are going forward when opponent attacking = i think Vlasic scored... Yanni wanted to attack, it was so funny... yes the result is 7-1 in that game... but that one was our trademark defensive style... I think we need to let Cooper go, he just doesn't have any answer vs good teams... Colorado loss, St louis 2 losses, Islanders 2 losses, Caps,Carolina, hot Minnesota loss etc... whenever we play a good defensive team = we just lose

Shark has no goalies, so we just scored 7... big deal... we lost the next one 1-5... i have no idea what we are doing this season... but we better start playing good next 3 weeeks or we can be out from top20 best NHL teams... and i had good feelings today about this match at HOME... ouch... at least we pressured Islanders in 3rd period for a while... that was some fun hockey... the results are never fun though lately... shakes head
It's just simple as this: Trotz> Cooper cry Help

Only way we can keep Killorn is if we sell Johnson/Gourde, otherwise he goes to other team 100% even if he scores 100 points... consider him gone...
