Tampa would be the last team to trade for pietrangelo. They’d be way over the cap and it wouldnt make any sense

Blues say no in my opinion. I would rather keep Kyrou in this instance, and also Pietrangelo is the best piece, I don't see how we should be giving up more pieces.

Ok and? This trade is just stupid and senseless for both sides. Sergachev is far else elite than pietrangelo and Tampa would be way over cap

or you could keep him and try to win the big trophy again. id always prefer a big trophy over a first round pick

honestly i'd rather have back to back cups and slam the window shut in 2020 than trade pietrangelo to squeeze in one or two mediocre playoff appearances. think it's better to try and win now, then figure out the contracts later. if he re-signs, awesome. if he doesn't, we took our shot and can weather a ****ty season to get the kids some more ice time.

Serious question; who’s better, Faulk or Edmundson?

Not sure, not a Blues/Canes fan. All I've heard was Faulk has been underwhelming in St. Louis and idk how Edmundson is doing. The problem is they have Faulk extended for basically forever, so you gotta make it work right?

Edmundson was very solid for a couple years and then he was just plain bad last year. Faulk is the better all-around player, but he won't live up to his new deal, and so far in STL his skill has gotten him into more trouble than good. Trying to do too much or making a poor decision has killed way too many plays, whereas Eddy was good for simplifying things and playing safe.

My take: I don't think STL made a mistake by moving Eddy, but they made a mistake by extending Faulk, especially so preemptively. Still, Faulk will provide us a better chance at another cup run. Just gotta hope the Blues can (keep Petro and) strategize effectively to shed Faulk in the expansion draft.

Oh FFS... not only is Petro not leaving, but we sure as hell wouldn't throw in Kyrou. And the Barby trade idea is pure lunacy with no point whatsoever.

I'm always confused as to why GM's are so quick to extend guys they just acquired. I know sometimes built-in extensions are a part of trades, but you have no idea how this player is going to mesh with your team. The same thing happened with Turris in Nashville, it never worked there.
