Top 10 Centers Based on Comments

Description
I have compiled a list of top 10 centers based on comments on about 10 posts just today.
This is NOT my opinion or anyone else's, this is about as close to reality as it will get.
If you would like to talk, we can have a kind conversation, be respectful.
HOWEVER, if you are rude, I will ignore your comment as it will mean absolutely nothing and be disregarded as useless (as in if you are ignored it does not mean "you won")
\EDIT: I included comments on this post too! Honorable mentions are at the bottom, basically after #7 it gets really jumbled

Back to back 30 Goal seasons and 76 points would say his resume is better. But yeah a lot of good centers.

i think the problem with lists is that while people typically agree that mcdavid, crosby and mac are the top 3, everything after seems to be based on opinion and conjecture. there really isn't a set guideline for "best centre". some people prefer to use a completely statistical analysis (and then argue about which statistics are more valuable) while others use more arbitrary conditions (like "leadership", "grit", traits that can't be logged into a spreadsheet).

this is why i like to tier players based on a set time frame. if the difference between two players is a wash depending on how you personally rate players, it makes a lot more sense to just put them in the same category. also the "time frame" is a big thing too, there is a major difference between a list over 5 years and a list just based on this season.

Malkin has been beast mode this year. Better than Tavares, stamkos, etc..

The fact that Ryan Carpenter is not in the top 5, much less not included in the top 10, is mind-boggling. Terrible

Nailed that analysis. I completely agree. After the top 3 it’s very subjective

Fair! It definitely gets more and more jumbled... Id still say (in looking through the other posts) that Barkov and Bergy are the consensus 4 and 5 too..., but yeah after that its a big mess

Give Eichel a year and ppl will be thinking of him as they do MacKinnon now...or McDavid, just slightly slower acceleration.
