Please explain how this deal makes any sense? solves nothing for Edmonton in any way while.

Well I didn't understand how https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/158154 made any sense for Ottawa. And btw, this solves a ton of the oilers that haven't made the playoffs in over a decade. It gets them proper defenseman (better than Klefbom) that can play on the left side with Larsson (but Chabot can actually produce points), a cheap #1 center (better than Hopkins), a 1st rounder, and you get rid of Eberle's $6 million contract, all that only for the little price of Draisaitl.

I get what your saying but Chabot is completely an unproven product so far and in addition to that he's a LH shot and Oilers already have Klefbom Sekera Davidson Nurse Reinhart and Osterle on the LH side. It would have to be Ceci and then keep the pick and I doubt Oilers will be interested in moving Leon for anything less then what perfectly fits what they need.
