Description

@Jamiepo Thinks that the Leafs would be giving up too much in this deal.

Personally, I think that Connor Murphy is a better overall player than Ceci in every way. Better term, better AAV, better everything.

I don't think that there is any way that the Hawks make this deal as it is presented.

Please, please, please give me your thoughts on this!!!

I'd wager you'll have to upgrade that 3rd to at least a 2nd.

I would not do this trade as a Hawks fan. Bracco by a lot of LEAFs fans is a career AHLer. I don't place much value at all if any on him. Hawks fans tend to make the same assumption about Dylan Sikura. A slightly older winger that just hasn't been able to stick in the NHL. Ceci hasn't been as bad as people think, but it's not like he's been all that good either. MAYBE they can flip him, but that's not a sure thing either due to his cap hit. So a 3rd round pick for Muprhy. I honestly wouldn't trade Murphy for a 1st. (Obviously 1OA is different, but that's not within a reasonable discussion) Murphy's been really good and doesn't cost a lot of money.

Leafs fans dont pay attention to other teams so they don't realize how valuable other players actually are unless they are a top 10 scoring forward

Big no from the hawks. Why would they do this? They get 3 non valuable assets for a versitile dman on a good contract. Chicago would need a kapanen or johnsson type player back. Something like kap+ceci for murphy+cagguila

As you may well be aware, this is not close to anything that would come under consideration. Like above, Bracco is like Sikura for us. Skillfull, small playmaker who has a nice shot and has done very well in the AHL though not been able to break the NHL properly yet thus meaning the value is not there for those sort of players. Ceci is a cap dump so for the Leafs so they would have to add and Murphy is sure as hell worth more than a 3rd to us. He has probably been our best D this year and has a valuable cap hit.

No. Murphy is stellar on defence. I am seeing this season Keith’s influence. Murphy is utilizing his stick more aggressively. I would expect the price to acquire Murphy would be a 2nd. As for the baggage with the draft pick, a quick no back.
