Description
Do a pair of major shake ups

1. Make a big trade involving Hall for future assets.

2. Assign Subban to AHL. No one is taking him from waivers with that contract, and his play has been terrible. Show the team that no matter who you are or what you have achieved, every player have to deserve their place in the team.

NJ would save a good penny in there.

Gourde and other Tampa players don't waive their NTC. Lots of futures to give up for marginal upgrade.

I guess the question is, can the Wings (or any team) spend 9m better than on Subban. Answer yes, which is why he would probably go unclaimed.

Yeah, that NTC makes an issue. But I think the upgrade is pretty big... They get a former MVP and a clear upgrade to their RHDs.

Both UFAs, though.

Yeah, the key word is former MVP. Not saying that maybe Hall would energized finally playing on a good team. But he has six goals this season and has never been a stellar playoff performer (mostly from lack of opportunity).
Tampa needs good cheap ELCs in next year and soon after. Just my thought, they can't go all in again this season. Sure looks like a Boston and Tampa are easily going to # 1 and 2 in the Atlantic. Do they go all in?

They should've no problem re-signing at least one of them when they are "freed of" re-signing Sergachev and Gourde's contract...

Problem for TB last year was they didn't go all in when their team was at their best. And they got their asses handed for them because of that - coincidentally from a team that literally went all in.

Honestly I'd like to see what Hall could do in Tampa. A power play combo consisting of Hall, Kuch, Stammer, Point and Hedman sounds so saucy...probably the best 5 there's been in the league this century. His playoff record is bad, but so has the teams he has played in, too.

Hall is still in pace for around 80 points, in one of the weakest teams in the league. In TB with good linemates he could produce in the level he did when he was crowned the MVP.

Perhaps, but it affects trade value.

Nonsense. Subban is having an off year, but I'm hesitant to accept that he has disappeared from being a top 15 RD
