You are right, he can't defend, but we are stucked with him for years, so what we can do. Not worth to trash him 24/7. He is still staying for many years and at least he scores 70-80 points/ year. Better if he doesn't score only 40 and same defensively... -12 is not that bad... Risto had -40 last year LUL
Let's hope 1 day Cooper teaches him how to defend, and forgot about the pp. Yes scoring in pp is nice, but then u allow 2 easy goals. Net result 1-2...
What if you don't score on PP and not allow any goal. Net result = 0-0 = overtime = anything can happen.
Oh yeah , that's how the good teams play. They defend well. It's a process for us and it takes more than 1 year... we are only 30 games in with this new coaching style.... it failed miserably in every single game vs good teams... it will get better as time passes/ trades happening. It is what it is. We are a 0.550 team.... we expected 0.650+... well things not always work out as predicted...
Our goal is to limit the scoring chances = not working right now... Minnesota scored 5 goals dude... it's just no progress... we thought after sweden trip something clicked... NOPE... we just played vs the same old
team who always plays bad hockey for decades... Yes a win is a win but our goal is to win the cup not to beat teams like Ottawa or Detroit... Even Syracuse can beat them... big deal... btw we lost vs ottawa so thats how bad we are right now...(in theory though we should win next 3 vs ottawa)

Best thing we can do is wait and hope a trade is happening or a coaching change(doubtful). I don't think BriseBois has the BALLZ to fire Cooper...
Maybe one day Tyler Johnson(Yanni Gourde/Stammer) comes back to D-zone and tries to defend, not throwing his body around then injuring himself in the process... i mean at least we play fun hockey(1st in goal scoring in whole NHL)... so i keep watching, but i'm not expecting deep playoffs run anymore... GL to other teams!
