Description

Doug Armstrong says screw it and goes for Hall. Sakic likes the chemistry of his team and backs away from a trade. Ray Shero sees how desperate Toronto is for Pietr and gets them to give up a ransom for an expiring UFA. Shero sees the undeniable tanking potential in having Cody Ceci and BEGS Dubas for him.

With all these trades including Ceci I don't think many people realize how much of a sweetener the leafs would have to add for a team to accept a third pairing D man making 4.5M, especially knowing they'd be be doing the leafs a favor.

?????? Really bad to even think that Armstrong would ask Pietrangelo would waive his NMC. St Louis based Pietrangelo isn't moving mid season.
