The buffalo trade is off.
1. Joki has one more year of ELC so no reason to do 1 for 1
2. Joki is a better pucker mover and has more value than sergachev.

sergachev is a good young defender but you cant trade him for a better younger defender

I don't see Montreal making a trade like that, Caufield has been a generational goal scorer wherever he has played, Petry is a #3 defensemen.

Stamkos is hella good, don't get me wrong, but he's 29 and being paid 8.5 Million for 5 more years.

I don't see either team wanting to do this deal.

woah slow down. I wouldn't call Caufield a generational goal scorer. That term is getting thrown off at players more often nowadays ("Hughes is a generational player, Kakko is a generational player, Matthews is a generational player) Sure I get the point he has been amazing in the NCAA and broke the USNTDP goal record but that record was previously held by Phil Kessel. Do you think Phil Kessel is a Gen player.

Rocket, Bossy, Lemieux, Bobby/Brett Hull, Gretzky, Phil Esposito and Ovechkin are examples of "once in a generation goal-scoring machine"
