Awful for the Leafs. Subban at 6m for 2.5 years ain't happening.. Subban 30 games 2 goals, 3 assists minus 15. Leafs wouldn't trade Ceci. 31 games, 1 goals 4 assists, plus 5 straight up him.

Just think. Why would any team want this version of Subban? Looking for to next year, there are hundreds of ways to spend 6m better. Traditional on CapFriendly Leafs have pay triple what any other team for a RHD.

I generally encompass a players entire career when deciding on a trade not the last 5 mins of it. Kinda like how last season Leafs couldn't give Nylander away and now all of the sudden he has his value back

While I agree it would be unwise to give up on Nylander, if the FO insists that we have to win now instead of saving our assets for the future, I think this move makes a lot of sense. It is an upgrade now, but in 2 years I think Nylander will be the better player, and we could potentially make that push for the playoffs now if everyone is in with our goalie tandem that we probably wont be able to keep both of, who knows what we could do in the playoffs with 4 stable lines

Delia is a name i could see them moving. He has played decent when called up but now is #4 behind Lankinen unless Hawks plan to have him and Lankinen as their 1 and 2 next year this would be a good move. But the trade itself sucks. You could get Delia for someone like Bracco.

I agree you could Delia for Bracco, I also wanted a less expensive bottom/Middle 6 winger with some cost certainty
