Habs would more than just give that a go. Clearly the team has given up on Hudon, and the kid needs a fresh start. Getting someone with similar potential and situation is a blessing.

Habs easily accept without even thinking about it.

Even though Jankowski is struggling he's still more valuable to keep then trading him for Hudon, players like Hudon are everywhere whereas a big body 3/4C like Jankowski isn't always available on the trade market.

I don't see why Ottawa would make that trade, they gave a 4th for Namestnikov so why would they trade him with a 5th for two UFA'S that they'd be lucky to flip for a 4th and a 5th.. Lol

Ottawa declines and Calgary shouldn't make the Habs trade.

I don't know if that gets you Namestnikov, let alone an additional pick. He has been playing pretty decently for the Sens as of late and isn't Czarnik on the IR right now?
