vegas has 2 million dollars in cap space

brodin isn't worth a first alone, let alone a 1st AND wahlstrom

Why wouldn't NYI do this? Brodin is a solid defenseman who moves the puck. He would be a #1 D on teams that don't have a guy named Suter. He shores up your back end as you prep for the playoffs.

Honest question, do you follow the NYI at all?

Honest answer. I don't pay much attention to the Eastern Conference in general. What should I know about the NYI that I don't?

Islanders aren't trading Wahlstrom, not for that anyway.

These trades are kind of backwards imo, Vegas needs a defenseman much more then they need a winger and the Islanders could use a winger, they certainly don't need anymore dmen.

The islanders have the 2nd best defense in the NHL right now and they had to bury one of their regulars in the minors because of the emergence of LD like Adam pelech (7th best defensive impact among defenseman with tough usage) and Devon toews (who runs the 1st powerplay unit). The islanders do not need help on defense and wahlstrom is our best forward prospect , he’s not getting traded
