Description

Instead of trading Bouchard, trade Broberg. Similar value, except the oilers LD is already set for the next long while with nurse + klefbom, and the Canadiens needed a LD, not a RD.

Broberg would be their best prospect besides Caufield, and a top 4 LD which they need down the line. Coming from a Montreal fan this trade makes way too much sense, Chiasson would probably fit great in Montreal and bump Armia up the depth chart along with Gally being gone

There is a few number of players that are untradable. No matter how much you are willing to overpay, no matter the offensive production of the player in question, this player is always too valuable symbolic-wise to his team.

Gallagher is one of those player, to me. I just can't imagine this guy with another jersey.

One: I think habs fans overvalue Gally. Two: I don't think MTL will move Gally because he is their most consistent and best forward IMO. I'd look for the Oilers to target Chucky or Kreider maybe, Tatar or Palmeri if they want someone with term. But I cannot see Gally being moved to Edmonton or anywhere else, it would cost alot and doesn't really make sense

^this. Value-wise, I mean you make this enticing with Broberg, and maybe a few years ago I could've been open to this... but Gally has become the indispensable sparkplug of the team. It has more to do than just the points he individually generates--he makes the entire team overperform through his leadership.
