Don't trade mcisaac at this point, kid looks like a player, plenty of goalies to sign in the off-season for free.

But I do like the ghost for AA deal, even straight up

I like it. I've been looking at van Riemsdyk as well, seems like another Nemeth type player. I wouldn't sign him over Nemeth though, Nemeth has actually been pretty sound. Stevie didn't sign him at 2/year $3M to scratch him. I think next year there's only one defense spot open. I agree, I wouldn't trade McIsaac just yet. I think we will target goalies in free agency, we have plenty of cap space to do it.

Plus it's Detroit. We let in 5 goals in literally 50% of our games. That first goal was total bull**** and should have been reversed, the 2nd goal was a great Blake Wheeler shot from the high slot while he was screened, the 3rd goal was tipped, and the 4th was a Laine breakaway. He let in one "soft" one tonight, a Wheeler one-timer on the powerplay from the top of the circle. I know you probably watched the game so you know, but this is for everyone else. It sounds like I'm making excuses, but what can you really expect? He looked solid for 58 minutes of that game. I hope he gets a few more looks. It was only his 6th ever NHL game, after all.

I agree he has only played 5 games this season tonight was his 1st NHL game of the season. He needs a few games under his belt before you write him off.

laugh Why on earth would we deal Jared McIsaac for a goalie we don't need?

Ya I liked Comrie. He played a good game just the stats sheet doesn't reflect it once your team shuts down in front of you except for Zadina. He was the only one I saw putting in effort last night.
