Very hard pass. Would never trade Labanc a prospect and a second for a goalie prospect still in his first year NCAA

Lol Knight is the best goalie prospect in hockey, by far. this is a steal and contrary to Sharks fans belief, Labanc is not that good.

Goalies are always a gamble, but I really liked that draft for Florida. Where is Knight playing right now?

Goalie prospects are a crapshoot and Everyone knows it. This move not only decreases our forward depth, but means we don’t even get to see knight for 5 years

The general consensus is that Knight will be ready in 1-2 years. Chekhovich is not forward depth yet, he’s been scratched like 20 games in a row in the AHL.

So you have a shot at the best goalie prospect in years and you reject it to keep your -20 underachieving supposed goal scorer.

You know who else was an amazing goalie prospect? Corey Schneider, infact I think he was regarded as THE best and got a handsome payment in exchange for him

My point still stands. Labanc has been not just underwhelming in a contract year but he has been flat out bad on a lot of nights.

I agree but trading him for a longshot is a bad idea. Rather go after someone like Georg whos established

Agree to an extent. Watching some of Knights games though this year, he looks like the real deal.
