Sorry but I don’t think Columbus would make that trade. Maybe a 4th or 5th for Campbell, but Kukan has been pretty good the last few games with Jones and him being only 26 he has a bright future. Campbell is older and been a career backup, I’d look tk send him to Toronto if it were me.

I like that Tierney trade. Iaffallo and Roy are both still young enough to be a part of the future in Ottawa.

the Martinez move is interesting. But if they aren't moving JJ they don't have room on the LD.
They aren't going to pay someone big money to ride pine when they have younger options to do that.

If he was a RHD you might be onto something. As they will need a guy to replace Schultz. Who they won't be able to afford and getting Martinez for 2.5 to be a 3rd pairing on the RD wouldn't be a bad pick up.
But on the left if they hang onto JJ they got 4 bodies on that side. They got 4 bodies on the RD side currently. So you'd be looking at them holding onto 9 defense men.
They aren't going to do that. Even though personally I don't know why they haven't sent down Chad R. They clutch on to him like an old woman grabbing her pearls.

Martinez typically plays on the right side. He isn't RH but still plays there

yeah I know that, but L shots playing RD is ackward. They don't really "play" RD, they play center field more. And they have issues backhanding a pass across the ice. Which complicates things.
He should really be on his left side.
