I feel you are looking more at their statistical potential rather than player comparables though. Wahlstrom doesn't play remotely at all like Atkinson but could score and produce similar to what Atkinson has done in his career, sure.
I'd be more interested in seeing the closest player style compable as well as statistical comparable you can think of.

That would be extremely hard, for Wahlstrom though, I feel like you could say he plays a similar style as Pasta, albeit, definitely not as good

Just from what Ive seen of the kid, I see a playing style similar to a Pacioretty/Bobby Ryan hybrid. Big but not overly physical winger with solid shot and soft hands. I think he has the ability to be a peresnnial 30 goal scorer. Not elite but very good. Just like Ryan and Pacioretty were for example.
