The value is good, but I wouldn't do it simply because it will be near impossible to sign him under the Cap. The only way the Islanders can do this is if you take Ladd's contract.

I would do it then trade Leddy in the offseason, also try to get Boychuk off the books (we’d have to pay tho) and buyout Leo. If we do that we’d b a real threat w all the talent coming up the pipeline

I'm okay with trading Leddy depending on other moves/value. I'd rather keep him, but if we bring in a forward and move Leddy for cap space, I'm for it.

Boychuk is pretty much unmovable, but he's still effective, so I'd be willing to wait another year before making a move with him.

Komarov buyout barely saves them $1M. Not worth it, he'd have to go in a trade. If he's added to this DET deal, then hell yeah let's do it.
