TDL if not sooner

Created by: bbell080
Team: 2019-20 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 11, 2019
Published: Dec. 11, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
EDM Trade: Oilers get a solid 3C and an offensively gifted utility player, as well as the dump of Gagner's contract. The Sens get two picks and a solid prospect. Realistic return for a 3rd line centre with offensive upside at the deadline from a contender is a 1st and a prospect. Adding Ennis nets you a bonus pick and an upgrade on that prospect.

ARI Trade: Coyotes get a good bottom six forward and the Sens get another 2nd.

COL Trade: Colorado gets a speedy player who can play up and down the lineup and they only give up a pair of 3rds.

WSH Trade: Caps get a 6-7D with a ton of experience and the Sens get to add yet another 3rd.

Honestly could see Toronto being interested in bringing Hainsey back retained for a 3rd hahah.

Wouldn’t JGP need to agree to an extension with EDM for that much of a haul? This past year’s early second round prospect (P/game Q player), this years 1st and 3rd.

A little heavy for EDM on the Pageau deal.

If that is indeed what an offer looks like for Pageau then I imagine PD will jump all over it. He may settle for a 2nd and a prospect (Yamamoto/Lavoie). I would much rather see Pageau extend. He is a solid piece moving forward and we need that kind of experience on the bench and in the locker room. I can see Tierney and Namestnikov being moved but not for that much. Probably won't get more then a 3rd for Nasty and maybe a 2nd and a prospect for Tierney. Maybe trade him for some help on the blue line.

Either that, or they throw some picks at Demelo. Cheap RHD with top 4 capabilities.

Quite possibly, although I was thinking more along the lines of Morgan and Hainsey already having decent chemistry together.

I don't think Sens will trade Pageau, matter of fact I think they try to sign him. You need to have some good veterans like him on a rebuilding team. Plus he played all his hockey in the Ottawa area. For a team that's looking to get a good image after last year events I think trading Pageau would be a mistake.

JGP wont land that much.

Thats a late 1st, Lavoie (late 1st), a 3rd and Gagne for JGP and Ennis... Which will both be hard to re-sign.

If were getting a 1st for JGP, were taking a bit of cap back.

JGP/Ennis for Gagne/1st/2nd.
