Make this trade and save your season

Team: 2019-20 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 11, 2019
Published: Dec. 11, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Duchene is dressing room cancer. Colorado was terrible, they traded Duchene and made the playoffs. Ottawa was one win away from going to the cup, were in a playoff spot and traded for Duchene and fell apart. Duchene was the ring leader of the Uber squad and then got traded to Columbus. Not much to tell about that one but now look what is happening in Nashville. Where ever he goes, teams fall apart.

Trade him before its too late.

Why would Duchene get more than the P. K. Subban package?

Cause Montreal likes french players. Honestly, I wouldn't accept a trade involving Duchene if it involved McDavid. The kid just tanks every team he goes to.

The Sens were one goal away from going to the final, not winning the cup. Also you might as well be patient with Duchene, or it will be a looooooong 7 years.

I am actually surprised Hab fans would be against this.

You're joking right? I don't even know if I would do Suzuki for Duchene 1 for 1

I have no idea why I typed that, I am vividly aware of the fact they lost to Pittsburgh in OT in the conference final. I was actually watching that game in Thunder Bay with Matt Murray's cousin, Aunt and Uncle. That is an absolute true story.

No I am not kidding, you guys were adamant he was going to sign in Montreal in the summer. Although you were also adamant that Tavares would as well.

Everyone wanted him to sign here because he was free. We wouldn’t want to give up anything significant (other than cap space) to get him.

Well I think it makes sense that you picked MTL as team to trade with since they were interested in Duchene and they need a #1 center. But I wouldn't make a trade like that from MTL perspective for the same reason you want to trade him. Suzuki and a first is a lot for a player who has a negative impact on the team chemistry

Montreal media was adamant. We never needed him and still don't now.

You are right, I just picked Montreal because they need a centre. But honestly, Duchene sucks.

They really don't need a center though.

Not really, just a good LHD and they would be a Playoff Team. Hell, they are already competing for a playoff spot with what the have now

He has a no trade clause which seems to be the sticking point of signing his contract. The Preds couldn't trade him until the later years of the contract. Can't imagine he'd waive it now...

It's not going to last. TO, Tampa, Florida and the Metro teams are all better than the habs right now.

Don't think Toronto is currently better than the Habs. But Boston and Tampa are for sure. It's going to be Florida/Montreal/Toronto for that last spot.

TO's defensively better than the habs, offensively better and have a better goalie. Montreal is going to fall off. I was hoping for more from them but they last year they had so many guys playing above their ability and now they are falling back to earth and they are struggling. Montreal is going no where they'll be too good to be bad enough to get anything in the draft and not near good enough to push for a playoff spot.

Toronto definitely isn't defensively better. The only reason they aren't letting up 5 or 6 goals a game is because of Andersen. Like every other season, he will burn out near the end of the year and they will drop wins left and right. On paper sure they are better, but they have no identity and aren't well structured. How is Montreal going to fall off? They proved last year that they have what it takes, we are still ahead of Toronto despite Price playing like an ECHL goalie in November and are missing pretty much half of our team. Sorry, but unless Toronto somehow fixes something, I don't see them making the playoffs. It's really Florida's spot to lose.
