2 move challenge

Team: 2019-20 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 11, 2019
Published: Dec. 11, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Just doing this for fun, saw another one of these posts and thought I’d make two realistic trades to make the team better.
Trades
1.
CGY
  1. Harkins, Jansen
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Jets take a chance on hamonic resigning
2.
WPG
    Waived
    3.
    WPG
    1. Clifford, Kyle
    Additional Details:
I have actually no idea what his trade value is, Jets add him to gain some veteran presence and grit in the bottom 6 to make a playoff run.

Is he even available?? He’s a pending UFA that probably wants to win
    LAK
    1. Kovacevic, Johnathan
    2. 2021 4th round pick (WPG)
    Additional Details:
4th is conditional on Clifford resigning, if he doesn’t LA receives 2021 5th.

Kovacevic had a really solid showing at the Jets camp and currently has 6 points in 15 games this year in the AHL. If he’s not a good enough prospect, than you could swap him for green. (Like I said I have no idea what Cliffords value is)

Trading Harkins already? No way to that imo, gotta give him a look with the big club.

Honestly this patchwork defense is doing alright, let's see how they do against the Blues, Boston, Avs and the Caps before deciding if we need to add or not.

I agree with the statement about the defense, this was more so aimed at this happening at the TDL. I would assume by then we have Harkins in the lineup for a bit and he gets a shot at being a full time NHLer.

My thoughts on Harkins is that he should be left in the AHL till sometime around mid January to early February to see if he's still scoring or if it's just a hot streak and if he's still rolling at a good clip then they should call him up and give him some games on an actual good line, like give him Perreault and Copp or if Little is back by then let Harkins center Perreault and Little and see what the results are. If they call him up and play him with Shore and Bourque it's just a waste of time but I'm sure that's what Maurice will do.

Yeah I agree with you, I just doubt we see him get a real shot, which is why if he’s still scoring he should most likely be traded for a known asset at the deadline.

Keep rolling what we have. See how far we can get with it. I think we all went into this with the consensus that it was a retool year. The only move I would make is if Buff is in fact done but still is able/wants to play, move him to the east to a contender and let him try to win a cup again. Use the few assets we should get to stock the cupboards instead of spending them like the proposals above.

I mean fair enough, but if the jets are chugging along come TDL and have a legit shot, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a move made, chevys done it in the past many times. I also am not afraid of just letting this year be what it is and not move any assets and then stock up during the summer during FA.

I don’t disagree but we have spent a lot of assets the last few years and aren’t as deep as many think. Harkins is probably the next call up and there really isn’t another player on the Moose ready. As for Hamonic I fear he is the next Kulikov. I think he will drop off soon. I would rather target someone like DeAngelo.
