Players
Shot %, face off %, goals, points, +/-, shots, GWG
Goalies
Save %, GAA, Record, shots against

This team would be the best team in the NHL in all of these categories, and still be cap compliant

Literally none of those are "analytics" theyre all super base level stats. Analytics would be stuff like xGF rates, cf rel, ff rel, GAR, WAR, etc

Andersen
15-7-3, 1SO, 2.48 GAA, .921 save %, 60% win rate 783 shots against 721 saves 62 goals against

Bishop
12-6-2, 1SO, 2.03 GAA, .934 save % 0.55% win rate 640 shots against 598 saves 42 goals against

They are fairly similar with each of them beating the other in different ways, it’s really a coin flip either or is a good choice

I could have based all of this off of points alone and still say it analytics. Analytics are stats no matter what it is wether it’s a base level stat or a more advanced stat, it’s still considered analytical

Counting stats such as goals, points, +/- are not analytics

Your dumb, Andersen has played 3 more games than bishop (bishop has a better defence in front of him too)and Andersen has faced 143 more shots than bishop

Analytics is looking for meaningful patterns in data. It's not just about taking names at the top of a number of lists. Things like shots, shot percentage, game winning goals, and goalie records don't tell you anything about the quality of the player.

If you're interested in looking at the analytical approach to the game, you can browse websites such as Evolving-Hockey or HockeyViz.

SV% is a PERCENTAGE that means that it doesn't matter how many shots against
