What would you do if you were Marc Bergevin

Created by: GMs
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 12, 2019
Published: Dec. 12, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Alright so with all the injuries, do you think we should get a bottom 6 winger ? IMO, the 4 lines should be those ones.

Leskinen isn’t ready, so send him down to Laval.

I don’t wanna try Reilly right now, so call up Xavier Ouellet, him and Fleury had chemistry last year in Laval !

Next one will be Alzner lmao

Byron might be back Saturday against Detroit, finger cross ?

Domi and Petry are playing so bad. I think Domi is playing for is contract wayyyy too much, just sign him long term (7-8) years deal around 6-5M AAV

For Petry, I think he’s injured, he creating way too much turnovers.

Poehling needs to stay, and Barber is playing pretty decent. I hate Cousins and Weal on the PP and they should get 4th lines minutes only, but due to injury ?‍♂️

Lmk what do you think so far !

The PP is the most annoying for me lol. but they've scored a few times already. I cheer when it happens, but like a second later I get annoyed because that means Julien will continue using them.....

1st PP unit of Weber, Domi, Weal, Armia, and Cousins is almost laughable...

Yeah, I dont get it. I understand Armia in the slot, but Cousins and Weal ? It should be Danault-Armia-Domi Weber-Suzuki 1st unit, not Domi at the blue line, he’s a turnover machine and Gallagher-Poehling-Lehkonen Petry-Tatar. I think how’s Lehkonen playing since Drouin is injured should get a shot on the PP

If I were Marc Bergevin I would shave my head with a cheese grater while chewing on aluminium foil... I would then start wonder to myself why Montreal fans, some of the smartest hockey fans in the world, would boo the refs whenever a Montreal player gets cleanly knocked down to the ice. Obviously it wasn't a penalty that caused his as$ to now be on the ice, but yet so many fans are booing the officials with such anger regardless. I would then ponder, are Montreal fans not as smart as everyone thinks they are or are they just being mean bullies trying to intimidate the refs?

Lol this coming from a Rangers fan... not saying Habs fans don't boo refs, other teams, or even their own team. but they are by far and away the most passionate fan base. The exact opposite can said about Rangers fans.. they play in the most prestigious arena in the world, and it's as silent as a crypt... and it's not because it's NYC. The Knicks fans are just as passionate as Habs fans...

Rangers best seats in MSG are the most expensive seats in hockey and are mostly corporate owned by the businesses in the area who don't care how much they cost. During the regular season sometimes seats are left empty or filled with someone new to hockey, but come playoff time when the die-hards show up... Leskinen is new to North America hockey, he should have played a year in Laval before getting called.

At some point, you'll have to try Reilly (again). The worst case scenario during Mete's injury was trying out all our LDs, and that seems to be the case... try Alzner at this point lol. It's why (if it was possible) I would have made a move for cheap LD when Mete got injuried because we knew nobody was NHL-ready during this crucial time of the year. It might be too late so let's give Chiarot an other 30min game lol. (He's really been great, but it can't be his TOI for all the year)

Domi is disappointing and Petry is becoming a turnover machine. That could be scary

I don't mind Cousins on a PP. We have a lot of injuries so I'd prefer him over Lehko (who's been also great but isnt a PP guy). Everybody seem to underappreciate him on CF but during injuries, he's been good. Weal is meh

Bully's is the most popular term right now... not only in hockey! We now use that word against anyone who as a different opinion!
Don't go in Winnipeg or Smashville in playoff... this is intimidating as 15K people sing/ scream your name scream
BUt TBH I founded that the referee was ON/OFF yesterday... giving break when they should punish and suddenly gives penalty on soft one... Welcome in the NHL

Why we have one of the worst PP: Weal, Cousin... they are player that team gives away and Mr.Patate decide that they should be on the first unit! You need
you smart one there: where was Suzuki, Danault, Domi, Gally, Armia, Tatar... these are your TOP6 that should be ON
first unit:
Tatar, Danault, Gally ( reward your top line... with more room they will find the net even more)
Chiarot, Weber
Domi, Suzuki, Armia in front of the net (Or Couzzzzzin if you think he as a good game flushed cheeks )
Leskinen, Petry
My point is always Suzuki or Danault to distribute the puck.

Cousins has 4 goals this year and 2 are on the power play including the one last night. I agree it's not ideal but the power play is not our biggest problem. Maybe that will change when KK, Druoin and Byron get back but right now it's working so run with for the time being. IMO

OUR biggest challenge is our PK.. Can Cousin & Weal play there? If not... OUT
