Likely not for that. Assuming no retention, the package is pretty good though, no?

I mean its not much of an upgrade and Saad has more $ tied up for longer term, making resigning Krug a lot less likely.
Oh, and were still missing a middle 6 winger

No retention sure, but with retention that doesn't cut it.

I didn’t play with the lines but the assumption is Kuhlman can fill in to the 3rd line or even Studnicka.

But neither are as good as Heinen, we upgrade one position but downgrade another. Go after a top 6 forward without giving your own top 9

We don't particularly want Heinen. I would trade you Saad for Backes, Lauzon, and your 1st, but given the amount of bad blood between Backes and some of the older Hawks (Seabrook) that probably wouldn't be a good idea. If we have to retain and take another big contract back, we might not be good trading partners.
