This team would be deadly if they ever got healthy.
Flip Rust and Hornqvist and it would be perfect cause the Jake-Geno-Rust line has been ?

A first is a little excessive so I made it a 2nd and 4th round picks

Theyve already said they want at least 2 firsts (1 can have stipulations) or a first and an A prospect

Galchenyuk is a rental since his contract is up at the end of the season. Detroit won't be good enough to get him to sign so he has very little to Detroit. Detroit isn't going to trade Cholowski unless the return is big. Comrie played his first NHL game since 4/2/2019 the other night. Now I have no illusions that he is going to solve Detroit's goalie issues but I don't think it would be wise to trade him after his first NHL in over 10 months. Plus Yzerman knows the only true way to re build is through the draft so there is no chance he trades 2nd in this years draft. So I can say with a great deal of accuracy this trade won't happen.

NO one cares what they say they want. It simply doesn't work that way. They are in no position to argue it. They keep him and get nothing. When you have 0 leverage you don't get to ask for what you want.
NJ will get the best of what someone offers for him. That's it. Much like Stone did. And that wasn't a great return. It's why CBJ didn't move Panarin last year. The returns weren't all the great and seemed rather underwhelming for what they were giving up in their playoff chance. Both players were having much better years than Hall is too.
What NJ needs is a team as desperate as CBJ this year taking their shot. But there isn't one. So you aren't going to see this kind of return on him and most people are starting to realize that.
It also doesn't help that Hall's year so far has really sucked. 30 games. 3 5v5 goals. An under 50% 5v5 corsi. -6 on the year in 5v5 play. If you are willing to trade 2 1st for that kind of performance I can send you a half dozen guys over now, just pick one or two of them and I'll take all your 1st round picks for the next decade.
None of that screams 2 1st round picks. None, at all. And frankly, Hall is probably sitting there thinking to himself, just make it through the season without another injury issue. If he's not already playing on a bum knee and hiding it for that next contract.
I think the offer there is fair. I don't think I would do it, I don't think Hall is healthy. So I pass on that. Nor do I think it's worth giving up on a rental because I don't want to be the guy signing him long term. Anything over 5 years and you are going to end up with issues there. He's gonna want an 8 year deal. No thanks.

Teams will compete over him so even if NJ doesnt have leverage, a first will still be offered for him. Hes definitely not getting moved for scraps and a 2nd

We'll see what teams will offer up soon enough. But this idea he's getting 2 1sts is nuts.
If he was a center, maybe you could make a case, or even a 1st pairing defenseman. But he's not. He's a winger. They don't have the same value. And his play sucks coming off of knee surgery.
Will he get a 1st, maybe. But teams didn't exactly pay out last year for wingers. 2 1st round picks were dealt last year, both for centers. And the excuses weren't about the available talent. Stone was talented and so was Panarin.
Both were having much better years and not coming off injury.
It is what it is. I don't think NJ is getting offers like people here want to assume or they have any leverage to make demands.
