I know most people will think that trading Labanc is an overpay, but Georgiev is the #1 Goalie they desperately need if they're gonna turn their season around. And I just don't see the Rangers trading their #1 for futures. In fact, Labanc might not even be enough to seal the deal.

It’s not really just trading Labanc but he is our only scoring RW. It’s a very very bad idea.

You’re filling one hole while massively digging another one deeper by tenfold.

I posted the trade to make a point that if the Sharks don't address their goalie issues nothing else really matters. I understand how essential Labanc is to the team's success, but they really don't have many other assets that will entice a team like the Rangers to trade their young, affordable Goalie. If anyone has any better ideas, I'm sure Doug Wilson is listening, lol.

It also doesn't help that Timo isn't playing as well as he was last season. This is a team that simply cannot afford to miss the playoffs given that their 1st rounder already belongs to the Sens.

Most NYR fans would accept, I would not. Very tempting hometown boy, yet like Kreider, we're not in the position to give an average 2/3 w a cap sucking term. Not what we need and we will not trade him anyway

I agree that NYR should hold onto Georgiev.

Trade value and needs for both teams, a pretty fair trade. Rangers next year have enough cap issues without adding more expensive Lebanc. Gotta think the Sharks have to ride out Jones and hope can carry the load in net. That Karlsson trade but mostly the resigning of Karlsson is looking so bad for the Sharks.
