Nothing wrong with the idea, but I can't think of a player that would hate playing in Winnipeg more than Kovalchuk.

After last years debacle and what appeared to be a problem in the dressing room, why would we want a potential cancer in Kovy here. Team seems to be happy and playing decent. No thanks

Okay I’m from Winnipeg so I’ll be the first to say our city isn’t the greatest. It’s cold, and I can understand why some players wouldn’t want to live here as taxes are high and it’s not the greatest city for night life.

For the guys who have signed long term, we love them. It’s not everyday that we have people wanting to be here. Like Morrissey, Scheifele, Connor, Ehlers, Wheeler, Hellebuyck. The fact that they commit here long term instantly makes them fan favorites. I was more so saying that FA wouldn’t like to come here over other options.
