Danault Trade

Created by: Quavo

Initial Creation Date: Nov. 2, 2019
Published: Dec. 13, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think Bjugstad is a good player I just don’t think he fits the style of play here and if we’re going to win the cup we have to be able to roll four lines. If Montreal is out of the playoffs in February, I think Danault would fit in here almost immediately considering Montreal plays a speed game just like we do. He’s great on face offs, a smart passer, and unlike Brassard defense is his specialty so he’d be comfortable playing in a 3rd line defensive role.

As much as I like Danault, I think Mtl accepts

I don’t see the Oilers give up a 2nd for Bjugstad, there’s other 3rd C options out there. If he’s underperforming, his value depreciates as well

I think this is a fair offer, I just dont see MTL doing this, hes too important for us, still pretty young and on a steal deal for one more year. He has the same stats as Bergeron at the same age, its quite something if you think about it, Imagine if he was playing with Marchand and Pastrnak...

I think it's a lot to give up for Danault. But I have to admit, his 5v5 play has been outstanding. He influences the ice in the right direction. I don't think MTL moves a player like that when he's under control. Maybe next year when he becomes a rental if they aren't in the race.

he was top 5 in selke voting and is having a tremednous year. he has a really good contract and had 41 assists last year. he plays on the most underrated line in the league. this trade is an easy no

Don't see Montreal wanting to trade Danault whatsoever without getting a near quality NHL center back.

This guy shakes head he wouldn't move Danault even for Malkin.

Classic Habs fan, overvaluing their assets like none other.

you're undervaluing him in this trade bud. for starters mtl will only trade him for a player that vcan help them now and long term. they're competing for a playoff spot as well. if mtl is in sell mode, than sure we can consider this trade. id say other teams can offer a better package.

You're getting value around two firsts. That's more than enough for a player that has scored 50 points once in his career. The guy is a 2C that's good on both ends of the ice, but he's no superstar and will not be getting the value that star players such as Kessel, Stone or Hall will be getting after traded.

really? 2 firsts? the 2020 first is greatm but the other 2 guys are barely b level prospects.. and if he is a 2c at best, than why are you offering "2 firsts" for him?
