Hall to Carolina

Created by: Matt1567
Team: 2019-20 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 13, 2019
Published: Dec. 13, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With about 7 mil tied up for this season in buyouts and retained salary, Carolina would have the money to re-sign Hall for a 10/10.5 Mil × 8 Years if they want to (thats just my guess on his asking price). A young goalie it Kochetkov who could become a starter would help New Jersey if Blackwood doesn't develope to become a starter, or if Kochetkov becomes better then Blackwood. Bean/Fleury are both young LDH with top 4 potential imo, and with the lackluster performance from the Devils blueline, another young dman wouldn't hurt. Haula/TVR would be so Carolina wouldn't go over the cap, and the Devils could flip them after for more assets. The Leafs 1st is top 10 protected this year, so it could become a 2021 1st if the Leafs struggle. The 2nd probably going to be around the 40-50 range, and might be the better of the Hurricanes 2 2nds (Theirs and NYR). The 2021 1st is only if Hall resigns with Carolina, and probably would have lottery protection. Nedjelkovic could be a bit of extra value for the Devils, and another young goalie couldn't be bad for a team that's rebuilding/retooling

You realize that Hall isn’t going to be a Hurricane right? BTW, to make it worth what you’re offering, Hall better come with an extension that is team friendly. That’s not happening.

He’s going to Arizona

I'm a Devils fan so I'm not gonna complain, but do you realise that in this trade scenario you give away Torontos first?

Toronto is currently 22nd in the league and out of the playoffs, so ur giving away a potential top 10 pick right now..

Its an overpayment but the logic of Carolina making a push for Hall is good since their prospect pool is deep and they have an extra first (they should send their own though).

Yes but the pick is top 10 protected, so it would be 2021 if it became a top 10 pick

I know he's been traded but you would've been ok with trading pick no. 11?
