Description
My thoughts on the trades made:

PITT Trade: Buffalo was linked as the main team in on Galchenyuk, after Pitt was rumored to have been shopping him after not fitting in. I traded swapped him for Bogo and a 2nd due to it being relevantly close in salary, and believe a 2nd is the proper price for Galchenyuk for the season he is having and his UFA status

DET Trade: I believe anyone in Detroit is for sale for the right price this season. AA has been a name I’ve seen tossed around a few time. I traded him for Samuelson (32nd pick in 2016) and a future 2nd round pick in 2021. I believe AA for a B level prospect and 2nd round pick is a fair value due to his average season, and him being not under contract after the season. I could see another pick added in as comp if he resigns with the Sabres

EDM Trade: Edmonton is in need of depth scoring. Sheary has shown off he can play along side a big name player and produce. Putting him next to Mcdavid or Drisital could pay off. A 4th round pick may be a bit high, I could also see it being a 5th but I see Edmonton as a bit desperate for help upfront

Line up decisions:
I think with the elite level of play Eichel is playing at this season, and with the talent Olofsson has shown I’m hoping they will spark Gally to start to revive his offensive game. Can also slide up or down the roster.
As for AA I think he slides in as the 2C to play inbetween to very skilled wingers and is a perfect fit to help pick up skinner in the defensive zone, and maybe play some PK time. Both players fit Kruger’s philosophy of having 2 C’s on the ice on all lines.

Let me know what you think!

I like his defensive game a lot, I believe it will help Skinner in our own end. I also don’t think his contract will be crazy expensive and can move all over the lineup as well and that will be valuable when Cozens is ready next year. Who would you recommend? I’m not a huge fan of moving the first unless there’s some term with it

I'm fine with trading for AA, but is he really good in the center and especially in defensive play? I'm just not sure about that. Send Mitts to Rochester and return Vesey to the roster. Mitts was a healthy scratch again, it makes no sense to him, he needs to play a lot, in Rochester he would get this time.

I 100% back AA is the d zone he may not be ROR 2nd line but he will be an upgrade. Based off some his number in passed seasons minus this year, that whole team is a mess, but last year he had a xGA was higher than ROR. I also think playing with Skinner and Reinhart that he will play well enough in the o zone anyway. I’m not sad about losing a 2nd he is an RFA and Samuelson isn’t someone I’d loose sleep over with the LHD prospect pool. And as for Mitts I’m also about ready to send him down, but my thought was get him on a wing with less of a role along with Johansson’s entry and possession numbers help him get some more time in the zone. You can also sell me on sending him down, Vessey started awful and has been solid the last month or so to definitely get that spot too.

Not saying I’m right on AA and he will be good in the D zone, but for the price and other things he brings I think it is a good fit, like I was saying about playing in between to very talent players

I think we can trade one of our defensive prospects, of course Samuelsson may give size and physical presence in the future, but I will not be too upset if Botts will trade him for help here and now, we still have Bryson and Johnson as two interesting prospects LD, also some Swedish guys that Botterill took on a draft in 2018.

Mitts does not look very good, he also played on the wing this season and apparently Krueger was not very happy with that. I think it's time to send him to Rochester to develop there, take 1C minutes, play on PP1, maybe play on PK, they work well with young players there, and sitting in the press box is just awful for him. Vesey has been looking pretty solid lately, of course he has his drawbacks, but his game impressed me more than the game of the same Sheary, who is constantly falling and can not help in defense.
