Ducks accept, but I doubt the boys with the NTC’s do.

I’ve always thought that Bob Murray has done a really good job of amassing talent, especially without typically having high draft picks, but by golly his use of the NMC and NTC has been a disaster.

Yeah in reality this year is terrible for trades most teams are right up against the cap, so many players have NTC, NMC, I doubt the Sabres would want to give up two 1sts, Just heard the Ducks might be looking at a total rebuild and that Montreal was in desperate need of goaltending

Well first I would assume that at least this year's first is lottery protected (becomes a second if it's top 10) and this does free up two roster spots for guys like Lundestrom and Comtois... (ANA has plenty of forward depth, no reason to worry about that) but just bc the west is such a sh*t show one player (Gibson) picking it up could easily lead them to a playoff birth, but assuming they're still out of it come Feb, I could easily see this trade happening

Really overpaying the ducks there. Two firsts can get you just about anyone in the league minus the absolute premier players. So to get henrique and silfverberg would be disappointing. And to mention there sizable cap hits dont mesh well with the future of this team. And then we turn around and absolutely hose Montreal lol. I cant even think of a comparison that they would send us back that would be so one sided. For ****s and giggles we will say KK equals mittelsadt which I think is close but mitts has struggled more of the 2. So then we have rodrigues and Hutton for danault. That's basically saying a back up goalie and bottom 6 forward who gets rotated out of the lineup for reinhart. Tough look there. We would have to add immensely to that trade to make it work.

Ducks accept? Just want to dump Silfverberg and Henrique for 2-1sts? Cause those other three aren't worth much to the Ducks unless they can be traded for late round picks.
Yeah some teams use of trade clauses is gonna really hamper them, will be interesting to see what Tampa does with their guys who have NMC'S/NTC’S, gotta think they'd like to move one of them for cap relief.

I like Henrique, and Silfy, and think that they’re both good pieces, but that would open about $10 mil, which would give the Ducks about $23 mil going into the offseason. Should be a bit of C depth next year with Getz, Steel, Terry and Lundestrom, but that money could easily be invested in upgrading the D, and finding someone better than Silf.

No way Botts gives up two firsts. Long term is priority here not instant gratification.

I wouldn't even trade Danault for those pieces. Montreal easily rejects.

Not sacrificing 2 1sts for a 2nd line LW and 3rd line center. Also no way Montreal trades their best 2 centers for Mittelstadt

I don't believe that the Ducks are "looking at a total rebuild." They were hoping some of the young players being integrated this year (Steel, Terry, Jones, Comtois) would do better sooner, but by and large I think that they are pretty happy with the roster as currently constituted, with the notable exception of their lack of what might even laughably be called in polite company a "right defense." (I'm not as big a fan of Josh Manson as most of my Anaheim colleagues, and refuse to trade him anywhere only because we don't have anyone else close to NHL quality in the system.) What we need are (1) the kids to develop into top-6 forwards, and (2) a RhD that is really a #1 RhD.
