Reality is starting to show for Devils fans. Not quite the return we all had in mind a few weeks ago.

If that’s all Hall costs that’s sad.

Pens counter with Addison, 1st round pick, and galchenyuk

hes a pending UFA who teams can not connect with his agent about an extension and he has only 6 goals on the season for what is considered an offensive winger with no defensive ability .
Devils are getting ground into the dust in offers bc they dont have leverage in trade talks knowing an extension is probably off the table with him going to UFA, and hes in a major scoring slump

I still think a 1st and timmins would get the deal done based on what the Coyotes are offering as the front runners. If Bahl Is the D centrepiece, I dont see why Hellleson from the Avs couldn't match that value.

Devils are in a bad spot and I think they put themselves into this mess

Shero would never accept that deal. Maybe if there are more picks on the table.

I could see something like:

Kevin Bahl (LHD)
Adan Hill (G)
2020 1st
2021 3rd (moves to 2nd if Hall resigns)
(Richardson or similar salary cap move)

Bahl/1st were givens. Picking Merkley and/or Schnarr would have been impressive.
